It’s hard to believe it’s already been a month since the SFISSA 25th Anniversary Conference & Hack the Flag.
Looking back, what stands out isn’t just the incredible agenda, it was seeing our South Florida cybersecurity community come together in such a meaningful way.
We were honored to hear from inspiring leaders including Edna Conway, David Spark and the CISO Series, Fran Nachlas (Deputy Mayor of Boca Raton), Brett Conlon, Ryan Barras, Eduardo Ortiz and so many other outstanding speakers who shared their knowledge and experience.
The conference floor was alive with activity. Attendees explored cybersecurity villages, connected with sponsors, participated in hands-on workshops, and met with peers from across industry, government, academia, and the military.
Then came Hack the Flag.
Watching competitors tackle challenges in both the Advanced CTF hosted by NoQRTR and the Beginner CTF hosted by ExtraHop was incredible. From first-time competitors to seasoned hackers, everyone brought enthusiasm, creativity, and determination.
None of this would have been possible without our volunteers, planning committee, speakers, sponsors, workshop leaders, village operators, judges, universities, and every attendee who chose to spend their time with us.
For two days we celebrated 25 years of building a cybersecurity community that believes knowledge grows when it’s shared.
Thank you to our community for making the SFISSA 25th Anniversary Conference & Hack the Flag one we’ll never forget.
