South Florida’s July 2014 meeting will be on Thursday, July 17, 2014 at Nova Southeastern University. The meeting will take place in the Carl DeSantis Building room 3049 / 3051 from 5:30pm – 7:30pm, followed by their usual networking hour at Falcon Pub.

Bio:
Daniel Castro – Sr. Manager
Daniel Castro is a Sr. Manager with the Intel Security Advanced Technologies Group. While he holds a B.S. In Applied Physics, he received his M.S. from the Governors State University of Illinois in Computer Science with research in cryptography and encryption algorithms. After a decade of teaching science and engineering in Illinois, he moved to Atlanta where he started using his professional training and knowledge as a software engineer and product trainer for Royal Koninklijke Philips. His reputation rapidly propagated and he was recruited by companies like Ciphertrust, Secure Computing, Proofpoint and Trustwave where he served in different roles from lead East Coast Audit Engineer to Regional Manager. An avid sailor and trained chef, he has lectured about security in numerous forums and when he’s not found conducting research now in the field of Advanced Malware and Event Correlation, he is in Atlanta with his family.
