South Florida’s January 2015 meeting will be on Thursday, January 15th, 2015 at Nova Southeastern University. The meeting will take place in the Carl DeSantis Building from 5:30pm – 7:30pm room 1054, followed by their usual networking hour.

Chad J. Gasaway , a Sr. Sales Engineer for CloudPassage in Atlanta Georgia, has worked in the IT Industry for 20 years and has worked in the Information Security vertical specifically for over 15 years with companies like Qwest Communications, ProSys Information Systems, Crossbeam Systems, HP ArcSight, SilverTail Systems, and RSA Security. He has also provided consulting services for companies like AT&T, Cingular Wireless, JP Morgan as well as organizations within the Federal Government. Chad’s career touched on a number of different areas in IT but largely focused on Information Security.
Chad’s career path in technology started with consumer desktop/laptop’s, business workstations/laptops and then moved on to Server Services, Network Infrastructure Design and Implementation, Wan Design and Implementation, Two Factor Authentication Solutions Design and Implementation, Infrastructure Security (Firewalls/IPS, WAF/DB Firewalls), Security Architecture Design, Network and Application Vulnerability Assessments, Penetration testing, as well as Governance, Risk and Compliance. His unique experience in all of these areas allows him to understand how security solutions are used to solve business challenges or align to business objectives. It also enables him to adapt quickly to changes in the security landscape and provide useful and usable information as it relates to technology in an effort to respond to new and emerging threats.
