March 2016 SFISSA Meeting – Thursday March 17th, 6PM Florida International University

Please join us for our March Monthly Meeting. As always, 2 speakers and networking to follow.

For the first time, we are having a monthly meeting in Dade, and this should be a more regular occurrence. So if you never came to our meetings because they were too far north, now is your chance!!

We will be meeting at the FIU Campus off of the Turnpike and SW 8th Street. We will be in Graham University Center, GC150. A parking pass is available so you can park in the Blue and Gold Parking Garages nearby. (easiest is to come in on SW 16th ST from SW 107th Ave, which will take you right to the garages.)

After meeting networking will be at BJs Brewhouse just up the roads at International Mall.

Subject- Insiders are the New Malware

Nearly every major security breach starts with an insider, or an attacker using an insider’s credentials.2015 was a banner year for insider threats. It’s estimated that the average organization suffered from 3.8 insider attacks last year and 45% of businesses can’t tell if they’ve suffered a breach. In order to combat the insider threat, organizations need to shift their focus from the perimeter to their data itself. They need to secure their data from the inside out.Join us for a live presentation where you’ll learn our 3-phase Inside-Out approach for preventing insider threats.
