Thanks to everyone that came out for the best South Florida ISSA Capture the Flag and Chili Cook Off ever! The two Capture the Flag games ran smoothly thanks to Hack Miami and miami p0wn machine and we had over 10 different Chili contestants!
Thanks to our sponsors: Mission Critical Systems!
Chili Cook Off:
Thank you everyone that brought in Chili! We had over 10 different Chilis to taste and vote for the winner. Almost all the bowls were scrapped meaning they were very good and filling. The 1st place winner was Susan Crabtree while 2nd place was taken by Tim Sadowsky.
Samurai (web) Capture the Flag:
Hack Miami came back to run the Samurai (web based) Capture the Flag. We had a total of 4 teams and almost 20 people playing at a time. The Las Chongas team took first place after all teams were stuck escalating priveleges for almost an hour to get to level 4.
Kommand && Kontroll
miami p0wn machine's Rod Soto put the ninja Capture the Flag game together. Participants from as far as DC303 and Gainsville came down to participate. A total of 3 teams played this game with a team of 6, a team of 4, and a team of 3 players. The Gainsville guys along with South Florida's Mike Pella took 1st place by almost twice the points. The two other teams tied at 700 points each. After 4 hours of game play only about 25% of the environment was explored.
Couldn't get enough? Kommand && Kontroll CTF will be hosted by miami p0wn machine at Hacker Halted later this year.
